Out of Fight or Flight: How Past-Life Regression Helped Me Heal Complex Trauma

Complex PTSD kept me trapped in fight or flight for years. Past-life regression — specifically QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) — was the only form of hypnotherapy that helped me heal the whole of my trauma, not one memory at a time. This is my story, and why anything left unhealed becomes a blocker.
Stuck in Fight or Flight: Surviving 19 Years of Abuse
I was stuck in fight or flight.
I got out on my own — away from my narcissistic, abusive parents, who run their own far-right Christian cult. By then I had already survived nineteen years of extreme abuse, and leaving didn't end it. They protested on my college campus. They hunted me down like an animal. They showed up at my doorstep.
The symptoms of complex PTSD (cPTSD) kept me locked in a relentless cycle of fight or flight that never switched off. I struggled to focus in college, and my grades took a hit I'm still paying for — literally. I ran out of grant money, used up my chances to retake courses, and had to take out loans to finish. I was certain the madness I felt in my mind would never stop. That I'd spend the rest of my life afraid of people, anti-social, fearing for my safety and my life, never able to simply live and breathe.
Why QHHT Worked When Other Hypnotherapy Didn't
Then I discovered QHHT.
It was the only form of hypnotherapy that worked to address the whole of my trauma — and later, I got certified in it myself. Every other approach takes it one memory at a time, or targets a single area instead of the entire wound. When your traumas are compounded — plural, layered, tangled into one another — that isn't enough. You have to address the whole of it, thoroughly and robustly, to move toward a healthy existence as swiftly as possible.
Discovering My Soul Contract: Becoming a Hypnotist
It was during a past-life regression — a session with a hypnotist outside of QHHT — that my subconscious mind came through with something that changed the course of my life: it is in my soul contract to become a hypnotist myself, and to help people heal. My purpose lives in this work. That truth was reaffirmed in the QHHT sessions I did both before and after my own certification.
Healing Through the Subconscious as We Move Into 5D
Since then, I've advanced Dolores Cannon's script, adapting it to the changing needs of my clients as I watch new patterns emerge. There is a shift underway in what it takes to heal through the subconscious mind as we move into the 5D reality — a peaceful, cooperative coexistence with one another. As we reach the spaces where we can finally lower our guards, our minds and bodies begin to feel safe. And when we feel safe, everything that still needs to heal rises to the surface.
Because what isn't healed is a blocker.
What Is Past-Life Regression — and What Is QHHT?
Past-life regression is a guided hypnosis process that helps you access memories, patterns, and impressions the subconscious mind connects to other lifetimes — used to understand and release what may be influencing your present. QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) is the method developed by Dolores Cannon that guides you into a deep, relaxed state to reach the subconscious and the higher self. You remain aware and in control throughout. It's often chosen for compounded trauma because it can address the whole of an issue rather than one memory at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is past-life regression? Past-life regression is a form of hypnosis that guides you into a relaxed, focused state so your subconscious mind can surface memories or patterns connected to other lifetimes — helping you understand and release what may be affecting you now.
Can QHHT help with trauma and complex PTSD? Many people seek QHHT and past-life regression for trauma support because the approach can address the whole of a compounded issue rather than one memory at a time. It's offered as complementary support alongside medical and mental-health care, not a replacement for it.
Are you in control during hypnosis? Yes. In real, healing-focused hypnosis you are fully aware and in control the entire time. You cannot be made to do anything against your values. This is very different from stage or entertainment hypnosis.
How is QHHT different from regular hypnotherapy? Most hypnotherapy addresses one memory or one area at a time. QHHT is designed to reach the subconscious and higher self to address the whole of an issue, which is why it's often chosen for layered or compounded trauma.
What does "what isn't healed is a blocker" mean? Unresolved emotional wounds quietly influence your patterns, relationships, and sense of safety. Until they're brought to the surface and healed, they can block growth, peace, and the life you're reaching for.
